Copperlode Dam
What was once Copperlode Falls was dammed in the 1970s to become Cairns’ Primary water supply. Now the tranquil waters of Copperlode Dam, or Lake Morris, set up in the green mountains of the Great Dividing Range is a popular picnic spot for families. There are a range of picnic facilities available around the dam, as well as a kiosk, rainforest walks and viewing decks for visitors to use.
