Gold Coast Beaches

Surf lifesaving on Gold Coast beaches

Gold Coast beaches are some of the best in Australia and there are several to choose from along the 70km stretch of sun, sand and surf. No matter where you stay along the Gold Coast strip you'll find a beach nearby.

Surfers Paradise is the most popular and iconic beach of the coast, a postcard perfect locale that welcomes swimmers, surfers, joggers and strollers from all over the world.

Main Beach is a busy beach popular for its restaurant strip, as well as the calmer waters for those wanting a relaxing day to soak in the ocean and soak up some sun.

For those with families Broadbeach, is a flagged area best suited for dippers and sand gropers, with Burleigh Heads Beach much the same.

Currumbin and Snapper Rocks are both known to local surfers for their perfect breaks and amazing swells.

Gold Coast Theme Parks

The Giant Drop, Dreamworld

You’d have heard of the big four theme parks at the Gold Coast; Dreamworld, Sea World, Movie World and Wet'n'Wild.

There are actually a few more though - you can pat a koala and mingle with native wildlife at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, watch outback horsemen and women race around the Outback Spectacular, or see any number of interactive shows and displays.

Take a look at our Gold Coast Theme Parks page for more information and purchase your passes online to save big money on UNLIMITED entry to three of the best parks.

Extreme Sports

There are a huge range of Gold Coast Extreme Sports on offer, particularly water sports, in and around the Gold Coast area.
