Lake Barrine
The beautiful Lake Barrine was formed in the crater that remained from volcanic explosions thousands of years ago up in the Atherton Tablelands about 1 hour out of Cairns. Today visitors can enjoy the tranquil waters and peaceful surrounding rainforest through a number of bushwalking tracks, boat tours and a wonderful lakeside teahouse with well-maintained terrace gardens.
