Rolleston
High up in the central Queensland highlands the small town of Rolleston is a staging ground for trips to the Carnarvon National Park. Spend a night in town and enjoy a beer at the local pub among some of the coal miners before you head out to the magnificent Carnarvon Gorge. This National Park is a rugged range full of towering peaks, walking tracks, winding creeks, and glorious views of sandstone cliffs and vibrantly coloured gorges.
