Stanthorpe
Owing to its elevation Stanthorpe has actually experienced the coldest temperatures in Queensland, with sleet and light snow even having been recorded. The waterways and surrounding mountain range take on a whole new atmosphere as the cold, crisp air brings in a low fog and the sun glistens on the morning frost in winter.
