Airlie Beach Lagoon
While the sparkling blue waters of the beach at Airlie Beach look inviting, for most of the summer they’re full of box jellyfish. So locals and tourists could still swim in this prime beach weather period, the council built Airlie Beach Lagoon on the foreshore. This fresh water pool is made to look like a relaxing beach shore right down to the sandy shores and gradual slope from the shallows out to deeper waters.
