South Bank
On the banks of the Brisbane River overlooking the high rise City Centre, South Bank is the heart of the city’s entertainment, culture and recreation precinct. Take a walk through the paths of this inner-city oasis and take in the river views, dine at the gourmet restaurants and bars, shop in the boutique stores, browse the markets and experience the fun activities and museums. As the weather heats up in the summer months head to the man-made lagoon that is South Bank beach, one of the few places you can swim at the beach with a city view as you look offshore.
