Fraser Island Barge
Although Fraser Island has an airstrip (in the form of a long beach strip) you can easily get cars there. There are barges and ferry services running daily from River Heads, just south of Hervey Bay. You’ll need a Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service permit to drive and camp on the island which is easy to obtain from the ParksQ website.
