Fraser Island Sand Dunes
The massive sand dunes of Fraser Island are an interesting feature in that they are constantly changing and moving. The sand blows along the coast from island to island, often burying forests or exposing long hidden items. Fraser island is actually growing at a rate of about 1 metre per year, with sand being blown from the coast and other islands.
