Captain Cook 1770 Festival
The town of Seventeen Seventy, named for the year of Captain Cook’s landing, holds the annual Captain Cook 1770 Festival in tribute to the discoverer of this great land. The festival is held on the weekend closest to May 24th each year; the day Cook sailed the HMB Endeavour into Seventeen Seventy’s Bustard bay.
