Heron Island Bay
Amid the calm waters that lap the shores of Heron Island, there is a man-made channel and jetty on the western side of the island. A daily catamaran from Gladstone docks here with supplies for the island. The rusted out wreck of the HMCS Protector lies at the entrance to this channel and is a popular dive site for visitors.
