Cairns and Nearby Islands Map

Located on the North Queensland coast and fronting right onto the Great Barrier Reef, Cairns is a prime stepping stone to a horde of beautiful beaches and tropical Islands.

Some of the beaches and islands Cairns is close to include Fitzroy Island, Holloways Beach, Green Island, Yorkey's Knob, Trinity Beach, Kewarra Beach, Clifton Beach, Palm Cove and Oak Beach.

Further north there are the coastal towns of Port Douglas, Daintree and Cooktown, while south is Innisfail, Bingil Bay, Mission Beach, Dunk Island, Hinchinbrook Island and Halifax.

Inland locations from Cairns from north to south include Laura, Mount Molloy, Mareeba, Gordonvale, Chillagoe, Atherton, Herberton, Millaa Millaa, Malanda, Yungaburra, Mt Garnet, Mt Surprise, Ravenshoe, Tully and Ingham.
