Southern Downs Map
The Southern Downs lies south of Toowoomba, close to the border of Queensland and New South Wales, about 2-3 hours drive west from the coastline.
It's part of the Darling Downs, a farming region on the west side of the Great Dividing Range. The landscape is a picturesque mix of rolling hills covered in vegetables, legumes, cotton, wheat and other crops that thrive in the area. You’ll also find cattle farms in the mix and a crisscrossing of roads linking to winding creeks and bushy ridges.
Towns shown on the map include Warwick, Killarney, Stanthorpe, Wallangarra, Texas, Inglewood and Goondiwindi.
Take a drive through the Southern Downs to appreciate the countryside and visit national Parks such as Main Range National Park, Bendidee National Park, Girraween National Park, Sundown National Park and Boonoo Boonoo National Park.
